head to toe, just like an inpatient with a few more hoops, just follow your OASYS packet and it walks you through it pretty good, the first few take a while, once you get into a pattern with them you'll be able to click through in about an hour

Get the consent signed FIRST - you don't want to go through the whole thing, only to find out they are going to refuse to sign the paperwork! Good luck!

Determine Homebound status first, if the patient is on Medicare. I have done entire admissions, only to find out that the pt was the primary driver, and planned on going to the supermarket when I was finished!!!Or the entire family goes to BINGO every week, or out to dinner 2-3 nights/week.
