What is the first thing that must be done after a central venous device is inserted a the bedside? Why?

Xray, to verify placement and to make sure that the a pneumothorax didn't develop because the MD inadvertently punctured a lung (applies to subclavian and IJ placement, not femoral, obviously.) Ideally the site gets dressed by the MD while the patient is still sterile and draped.

Thank you all so much...I thought that was the answer, but with my instructors, it's usually NOT the first thing that comes to my mind. Hope you all have a blessed day
