PSA Healthcare Massachusetts version

After working for 2 years at a long-term care facility, I gave my two weeks notice last week. I am currently an LPN and got offered a position working at a long-term acute care hospital close to my home. Since the hospital's rate of pay for an LPN is less than desirable, I've decided to try to supplement my income by working as a private duty nurse. Long gone are the days when you could walk into a facility, fill out an application, and hand it back to a live person. Now, you've gotta call the agency first and answer their 10 questions over the phone and hope that you answered correctly enough in order to get a call back of interest! Maybe they don't want applicants wasting paper? Anyways, in spite of PSA Healthcare's unworthy reputation (courtesy of the blogs I've read on allnurses.com), I applied there as well! The staff members at this location seem very laid back and I'm still feeling out the idea of being solo in a patient's house. Should I hold my breath hoping for another job prospect as a private duty nurse? Or should I hope for the best with PSA? Anyone have any current feedback about PSA?
