Florida hospital new hire physicalRating: (votes: 0) ![]() ![]() ![]() From what you wrote, sounds like you ALREADY know what to expect of a pre-employment physical. Actual physical exam, blood/urine testing.Don't have anything to hide, don't have anything to worry about Comment:
Well thanks but I wanted to know what type of physical.. do I have to pick up patients, weights ,etc.?
Comment:
And also while in school and during clinical rotations blood draws was easy to perform on other patients but for some reason every since I can remember I feel really faint when I have my own blood drawn.. this is the main reason I mention about having blood drawn during this new hire physical and that I already had my titers done (while in nursing school).

Thanks that was helpful I am willing to demonstrate any skill to prove I can do the job. On a side note can I ask if I would get better with having my own blood drawn as I gain more experience as a RN
Comment:
Nope. I'm really good at sticking needles into other people, REALLY good at it actually, but really HATE having it done to me! Experience in getting YOURSELF stuck, LOL, is about the only thing that's gonna help you with that

Thanks a million you have relieved my anxiety cause if they do perform any kind of blood work I don't have to worry that the facility is going to look at me crazy when I become faint and think I cannot perform my job duties as a RN. Again thank you RNsRWE because you totally answered all my questions

You're welcome. And if they look at you funny it's because they haven't had anyone faint in awhile, LOL, not because you're an RN who gets the willies at having needles stuck into her Good luck!
