BSN vs other degree

Just wanted to gather feedback from others. Every nurse has specific interests - mine is leaning toward public health and research. However, I have a great interest in obtaining a MPH. So, going from RN to MPH might be a good idea vs RN to BSN. Any thoughts?
You need a bachelor's of some sort to get into grad school. I contend a BSN would be the most helpful to you if you want an MPH and to practice as a nurse in the public health arena.
