Passed NCLEX-RN 75 Questions feb 2015!Rating: (votes: 0) I've actually never posted on here before, but I have frequently browsed this site for some tips and encouragement! I took NCLEX mid February and told myself that I would come on this site and post about my experience if I passed. I was actually not confident that I would pass NCLEX the first time. My scores on Kaplan were not the best quite frankly. I only took 25 question quizzes on Kaplan q bank and I would get anywhere from 40s to 80s, my overall average being 60. However, I wrote out ALL of the rationales I got wrong and the ones I got right but wasn't sure on. This helped a lot. I had a notebook with like 65 pages of notes. I also used Saunders for topics that was my weakest or stuff I kept getting wrong on my Kaplan quizzes. I sure as heck wasn't going to read the whole book, because I only gave myself 3.5 weeks to study before my test date. I wasn't even going to go over pharm because I thought that was impossible, but some of my friends told me that they had a lot of pharm on their nclex.. So a week before, I reviewed my weakest pharm topics and that was that. My practice NCLEX scores on kaplan were 52%, 64%, 90% (priorities) and 44% (SATA). The day before my test, I took question trainer 7. I know people say that it's best to not do anything the day before, but I couldn't help it, I needed to get through the last question trainer before nclex (procrasination got the best of me, plus valentines day was on saturday and I needed a break lol). I got a 60% QT7. I wasn't too happy with the score, but I went through ALL of the questions and reviewed why I got them wrong. Our school made us do the actual Kaplan nclex review class at the end of our quarter, so I took the readiness test mid December and got a 62.5%. I scheduled my exam at 11:30 and the test center was 35 minutes away. I drove myself to the test center and got there at 10:00 and reviewed my notebook till about 10:45. I got out, went to the bathroom and checked in. I was nervous during the test but not enough where it broke my concentration. I got 23 SATA, 4 drag and drop, 3 calculations, and a lot of meds! The whole thing took me 2 hours. When I got home, I used my boyfriend's debit card to do the Pearson Vue trick and got the good pop up! A day and a half later, my license posted! I was sooooo relieved and I couldn't believe someone like me passed the first time with 75 questions!!! Good luck to anyone who is studying for this beast of an exam! Honestly trust yourself and do as many questions as you can! Hi congrats to you |
