Multiple Job Offers as a New RN. How do you choose?

1 So this is my first time ever posting. I really need some help here. I have three job offers on the line. I'm a new grad and really excited about starting my career. One of the job offers is with a small satellite hospital and the other two are with a regional medical center. Here's the general situation: Job 1- part time nights, small hospital, about 20-30 min from home, I LOVE the atmosphere, med/surg floor, I spoke with the nurses there when I went for my interview and really liked everyone I met, there's only one doctor you deal with. Job 2&3: larger regional hospital, full time nights for both positions, available positions are tele and surg, wasn't as fond of the facility, nurses are friendly but not as welcoming as the other facility, only 5 mins from home. I have two baby girls one 8 mo and the other 22 mo. We are going for a tour of a daycare we are hoping to get them into asap.

I just can't decide between these two facilities! I am super excited about the smaller hospital but I also don't want to burn a bridge with either, although that's obviously going to happen. What are your opinions? What should be my main priorities when comparing?As a new grad what would you do? I am so nervous that I am going to regret my decision.

Multiple job offers is a good problem for a new grad to have! Do you need to work FT? Would adding a whole hour in the car every day to commute to the smaller hospital be worth it? What do the two hospitals' new grad orientations involve? Those are things to consider that came to my mind

Thank you for your help! If it wasn't for the commute it would be a no brainier for me to go with the smaller hospital. I felt so comfortable there and could really imagine myself working there. Ugh this is such a difficult decision.

Being a mom with small kids I would stay closer to home. You never know when you'll need to be there close to your kids! Life happens. Congrats!!RN BSN 2014

If you can afford the part time the reduced days could offset the additional drive time, plus on fewer days.

Thank you guys! I appreciate the input. My husband and I are still debating. But we are going to come to a decision today.

I truly think you answered your own question! Have you heard the old adage... "Do something that you love and then you'll never work a day in your life?" well, If I love the small hospital, the people, and only having to deal with one MD... I'd grab it. You'll get experience and it quite possibly could be a place where you will thrive and grow to have the confidence to go ANYWHERE in a year or two if you decide to spread your wings!

Congrats! I hope to be in a similar situation when i graduate. I would say grab the job closer to home since you have little ones.

I have a 35 minute commute but only work 3 nights a week. I listen to audiobooks on the commute. I would go with the place you love! Commutes suck but being miserable in a job sucks more. I have small children too. I wouldn't work at the hospital closest to me.
