10 weeks pregnantRating: (votes: 0) What meds? Pepcid? Norco? Or chemo?I'm confused: if you're a nurse, then you surely know that handling non-chemo drugs should not be harmful. And since you're a nurse, I seriously doubt that you'd handle chemo agents without gloves. BTW, congrats! Comment:
Not chemo, But some narcotics and other medications such as lipitor, lopressor etc

I'm still puzzled. What specific concerns do you have?

Why do you think that handling those medications would be harmful?

Remember, for the first 80+ years of the 20th century, nurses were not provided gloves for ANYTHING other than sterile work. You'll be fine.

You'll be fine. I don't see any need to worry.

Seriously, bring your concerns to your OB/Midwife. They can reassure AND give the medical advice we can't on this board. Good luck and congratulations.

It is natural to fret in early pregnancy, especially if this is your first. Talk to your OB or midwife. I echo the others; the vast vast likelihood is that you and baby are just fine. Congratulations on your pregnancy.

Oh my. Relax and enjoy your pregnancy.
Comment:
Chemo meds and some others do require gloves if pregnant. Ask your ob or the pharmacist at your work regarding safe handling while pregnant.
