Dialysis Nurse

Hi all. After doing a shadow clinical in dialysis,I have been thinking about the work of a dialysis nurse,their job description compared to Med-Surg.
It was only one day shadow so I did not get to experience alot but I think it is a good place to work.
What is required to become a successful Dialysis RN,do you have to know the kidneys totally(anatomy and physiology,functions,illnesses ect),can a new nurse work in dialysis straight from college?
