Renewing RN license for the first time in Texas

I read somewhere on the Texas BON website that first time RN licensure renewals are exempt from having to complete the necessary CNE hours to renew their license? is this true? I also heard it takes the Texas BON months to renew a license once submitted. I would like more information about renewing your RN license for the first time in Texas thank you all!
1. First-time renewals do not require completion of CEUs.2. Renewals are processed within 10 business days. I've renewed my Texas licensure five times (2007, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015) and they've all been processed in less than a week. I pay my renewal fees online.
