back to the hospital?

Hey all, I left the crazy world of med-surg nursing in a very short staffed busy hospital in mid March to work for a home health company. I was dying for "regular hours" and weekends off to be home with my boy and fiancé. Well as much as I love the job, I just found out I am expecting. And to put 2 kids in daycare for 5 days a week is just outrageously expensive. So I'm thinking about going back to the hospital before I'm noticeably pregnant and can get established again so when I come back from maternity leave I can only work a couple days a week. Anyone have a new baby and done this and it financially worked out better? I wasn't a nurse when my son was little so I don't know how I will handle though the 13 hours away from baby the couple days a week that I will work. Thoughts and suggestions please
Hm..yea if you can't afford 5 days of daycare..then I would go back but…can you imagine being pregnant and working at a busy med surg floor? Health is the number one priority.I would be careful because you never know if your doctor suggests you to be on a lighter job or something then what would you do...If anyone else can baby sit I would suggest that

I worked as a bartender and server up until the day my son was born and that was 10+ hours on my feet so I know I can handle that, but yeah you never know how the pregnancy will go. I'm looking into other departments such as ED or PCU. Unfortunately we do not have anyone that would be able to watch the baby...our parents all still work full time so daycare is the only option and my son doesn't start school until Fall 2016! :/

How about flexing the HHC hours?

I'm pay per visit, so I'm not sure if id make enough money being part time. My 90 day review is coming up and I'm going to ask about increase in pay or what the compensation for part-time employees is. But so far because of the area I'm in, I don't make a lot on just ppv. They promised a lot more in my interview, as far as the census goes. :/

Are there other HH companies in the area?

Comment:
Yes I have been considering trying to get on with a hospitals home health, as they may compensate more and have part-time positions. Thoughts?
