hep c tx plan organizing

1 help, i have just recently started at a gastroenterology office. i was just handed over the hep c tx. the office is new and has only been open for a year. during this year there have been about 75 cases of hep c but only about 10 that are currently on tx. my question is. i have to keep up with labs and call pts weekly to check and remind them of labs to next week. if you know hep c tx, it is over a total of 48 weeks, during this time the pt has to have labs drawn a total of 18 times. i need a plan of action, filing system and something that is easy yet smart on dealing with these pts. how would you come up with a plan to keep all the pts information simple and be able to pull the charts/papers once a week to make this load as easy as possible, seeing that soon we are adding another dr, so we will have more hep c pts coming in and are planning on this office growing more. thanks
Get access to a computer. Then get access to a computer geek. This process screams for a fairly simple database or spreadsheet creation. If you have a 'puter, you probably have some version of MS Office on it. I can't afford MS Office or I'd offer to help. I use the free equivalent Open Office. At work I've designed fairly complicated staff scheduling and patient tracking systems just for fun. Geeks R Us.

Bummer, to far from El Paso. If it's OK with you send me your email to [email protected] in case I can come up with and idea. Any computer clubs locally? Meanwhile I'd start a paper file system, divide the patients between each day per week you work. Each day check the file for those patients to see what you need to do.
