Lab tech to rn

Has anyone gone from a lab tech to an rn? This is my path, and I'm just curious how being a lab tech has helped you become a nurse, or if you feel more of an advantage because of the experience. Thanks :-)
Nope. but do know some higher-ups in health care (finance, informatics, systems engineer) who started as "lab rats" . Based on them, you guys must be a bunch of smarties. It would really be cool if you eventually headed into the direction of an Infection Control Practitioner or other area where your background would be a huge asset.Best wishes on your nursing education.

Thank you, when I was in the military I was the infection control officer! It was pretty neat.

I have the privilege of working in Infection Prevention with a former lab tech who is brilliant. She should be running the program. Go for the nursing program!
