Johnson county ks area

Hey all! I live in KS and have my CNA license. I've only worked in 1 hospital setting and it's an LTACH. I'm not crazy about it. I'm not sure what I want but I want a different scene. I think most of my problem here is we are always short staffed due to call ins and no shows- yet they all still have jobs!!?? Is it like this everywhere!?
I've thought about going to another hospital in the Area or even going to home health care. I am trying to get into a nursing program in the fall of 2013. Ultimately I want my BSN. I want to do more everyday than bathe, feed, and answer lights... Any suggestions?? Anyone?
