nurse internship

i am a new graduate nurse from may 2012. and recently got rn license. But unable to find a job. started searching for the past 3 months. Is the job market for the new grads really tight. I stay in houston. Should i apply to different other areas in texas? Please give suggestions as to who might take new grads.. Thanking you.. Please do post if anyone knows about hospitals who really accept new grads.
FYI, you may have gotten a better response if you posted this in the Texas forum.In Houston, most formal new grad programs (internship, residency, etc) are conducted by the largest hospital systems - and limited to BSN grads only. These programs don't really have to do any marketing, as they fill up very rapidly with the most recent new grads from schools that do clinical rotations in those hospitals. However, any organization that hires new grads will have an orientation program that is customized to meet your needs. The winter grads will be hitting the job market very soon, so you need to act fast before you become an "old" new grad. Do you have a BSN? Where have you applied so far? I would recommend focusing your efforts on community hospitals in suburban locations as well as LTACS. If you are open to relocation, you may want to check out smaller cities such as Beaumont, Baytown and Corpus Christi. I know that facilities in those areas are continuing to hire new grads.
