Good LPN programms in Tampa FL

Hello ladies! Me and my husband just moved in Tampa, FL and we have two more years here before we leave. I was thinking aboput getting an ADN at HCC, but with the prerequisits it'll take me more than 2 years. So I decided that I'll try to get into a LPN program and later become RN. Could you please recommend me any good LPN schools? I've looked at the florida nursing board website and found out that all of the offered programs are accreditated, but my question is does it matter which agency accreditates the programs? I just don't know which school to choose and don't want to finish a program and then have a hard time finding a job, because the school is accreditated, but not reputable. Thank you all for reading that!
Galen, HCC, PHCC- further north in pasco county. Keiser is expensive, but HAD a good program. (Don't know about now). PTEC (pinellas tech) is 'eh', haven't heard amazing things about it however one nurse I work with is GREAT and she graduated over 10 years ago from there. Avoid gulf coast. Make SURE your school is truly accredited.

thank you cat_lpn, that's exactly what bothers me -- how to find out if the school is truely accreditated?

Erwin vo tech is the best LPN school in the Tampa Bay area. I graduated from there 14 years ago. I am now a RN and I believe the foundation I got from Erwin has made me the best nurse possible!Melody

Thanks for the info! I checked the website of Erwin vo tech, but I wonder if I complete this program, will another state recognize it? Would I have a problem working somewhere else? And will I be able to go for RN and finish it in few semesters instead of 2 years? We'll leave FL in 2 years, but I have no idea where we're going next. Anyone with similar experience?

Once you have your LPN lic in Florida there is no issue anywhere else.
