ADN,RN licence 5+years ago no work experience any help?Rating: (votes: 0) I totally understand that it is very tough to get a nurse job nowadays even with years of nursing work experience. Many employers requires BSN degree which I don't have. The chance of getting a job seems very slim for me. I am wondering anyone can share your thoughts about how I can get a nursing job in my situation, what I should do to have more chance of getting hired, do I have to get BSN? Thank you very much. Take a refresher course and apply to jobs. Wouldn't hurt to enroll in a BSN completion program either, but a sure fire way to never get a nursing job is to never apply. Comment: +1 on the refresher course.Plus do some volunteering, health fair, homeless clinic, anything...Comment: Heartily agree with the posts above. You're proably going to need a refresher course to get a nursing job ... and depending on the job market where you live and what type of job you are wanting, you'll need to give serious consideration to a BSN at some point.
