Wanted-Public Health Nurse info

Hi, My name is Denise and am currently enrolled in online RN to BSN. I am looking into public health nursing and wanted to know the education required to be a public health nurse. How has your BS prepared you for a job in this field? What is the difference between public health nursing vs. acute care nursing? Thanks for any in site you have.
