Coding or drug safety

After receiving my RN, my first job was a drug safety associate for a call center and was responsible in documenting adverse events. I recently became unemployed in this field but fortunately have at least 2 years pharmaceutical experience (no clinical) that most pharmaceutical companies want. Recently, a pharmaceutical company responded to my resume for a drug safety associate position. This could be a great career opportunity.
In the meantime, I have been in a medical coding class and currently pursuing a CPC certification, which, so far, I prefer more.

My question is should I continue in the drug safety field or obtain the certification and pursue a career as an RN coder? Which has better pay? Which has better employment opportunity? Which has more flexibility on the possibility of working from home? Any feedback will be very helpful.
