Some Career Advice needed. Please helpRating: (votes: 0) I just became a LPN this past September and I'm already looking to my future. I am working in a LTC part time night shift job but I'm wondering if there is something else for me. I am considering getting my B.S in Healthcare Management at a local Miller Motte College. I am curious if any of you are considering this Career or if you have this degree and how it is treating you? I would like to keep my LPN license when I get my B.S in Healthcare Management by keeping it up working parttime. I'd like some advice or comments on this. Thank you for your time. What type of job are you aiming for? I actually don't know anyone with that type of degree who is working in any capacity in a health care management job. While it's not unusual for people with bachelor's degrees to have management jobs, the degree is normally in a clinical (licensed) or specialty profession such as HIM or accounting. If you want to continue your education in order to help 'grow' your career, I strongly recommend a BSN. |
