Some Career Advice needed. Please help

Good Afternoon Everyone,

I just became a LPN this past September and I'm already looking to my future. I am working in a LTC part time night shift job but I'm wondering if there is something else for me. I am considering getting my B.S in Healthcare Management at a local Miller Motte College. I am curious if any of you are considering this Career or if you have this degree and how it is treating you? I would like to keep my LPN license when I get my B.S in Healthcare Management by keeping it up working parttime. I'd like some advice or comments on this.

What type of job are you aiming for? I actually don't know anyone with that type of degree who is working in any capacity in a health care management job. While it's not unusual for people with bachelor's degrees to have management jobs, the degree is normally in a clinical (licensed) or specialty profession such as HIM or accounting. If you want to continue your education in order to help 'grow' your career, I strongly recommend a BSN.
