New nurse new job

Hey everyone,

I am a graduate nurse, studying for my NCLEX. To make a long story short I'm having a hard time finding a job in the hospital right now. I have been offered a job in home health but I'd really like to be in critical care someday. Do you all think I will lose the small amount of skills I've learned in nursing school I I spend a year or so in home health? Thanks for your input!
