Help! I don't know what my next step is!Rating: (votes: 0) I graduated from the LPN program many yrs ago. Putting myself through school I was working full time in a local electronics company. I had good hours, benefits & made great money for my area. I decided to stay with my job at that time. Unfortunately the time got away from me & I never took my State Boards. I've regretted it ever since. I've occasionally looked into it & know that my state doesn't have a time limit on being eligible to take the Boards. Long story short I have gotten to a point where I am not happy anymore. I literally HATE my job. I hate even more that they have me. I make too much to just quit. I can't afford it, I have a family. They are not the flexible company they once were so going back to school is not an option. I've had enough... I'm looking at picking up my LPN where I left off & would like to take it to RN. (But I need to get out of here first. Quitting & taking RN classes is not an option. I hope to do that once I get into the field & have more flexibility & support) I need to find some online classes, free would be great, that I can use as a refresher to begin studying for the Boards. There is just too much info & time that has passed to just start studying! I don't know where to start, it's all so overwhelming & then I give up. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I just keep hitting a wall here! Thank you, J Each state has its own rules and regulations for nursing. You will need to check with your state Board of Nursing to find out what you need to do & find out what your options are. Comment: I know that much. I can take it when ever I am ready. My question is how do I get ready? I've been researching trying to see what the best study guides are. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
