Flu clinic job offer...sending vaccine to my house?Rating: (votes: 0) Does anyone have any experience with this? Anyway for me to find out the legality of this or if the BON allows this? I am in South Carolina and the company is out of state. I carry malpractice insurance, but of course I hope I never have to use it. Hmm - I've never heard of this type of situation, but that doesn't mean it isn't legit. Here is the FDA rules & regs on vaccines. I would suggest calling your state health department for more information - they're also vaccine experts. If you have malpractice insurance, you should give them a call and see how they feel about this before accepting the offer. Comment: I almost applied to the same deal. My husband looked at their contact and it basically said I have to defend THE COMPANY if I gave a shot to someone and they had a reaction. It seemed like easy money - how hard can it be giving shots??!!!! My husband wouldn't let me work for the company. Seemed very sketchy. Run away, and fast !Comment: When I asked my malpractice carrier I was told I wasn't covered unless I changed to a contact (not-direct) employed policy at nearly 10x cost of my current policy.Storage of vaccines should be in a designated location with temp monitoring. I would strongly reconsiderComment: I ended up not taking the job - too sketchy to risk a license over it. Ill just pick up PRN hours at my regular job.Comment: Good for you.
