New to college station

Hello,

my boyfriend and I are relocating to College Station so he can attended Texas A&M. I will be applying to the ERs in the area, but I am not too sure on what areas or apartment complexes are good to live in. Any suggestions on which parts of town, or which apartments are good would be amazing. I don't care if we are close to students or not. We just don't want to live in a ghetto area. Also, what is pay like here? I am 2.5 years experience as an ER RN at a trauma hospital in an inner city area. Thanks for any suggestions.
