Entry point

Second career( actually fourth but who's counting ) I'm mid 40's college educated and I'm looking for advice on an entry level training program in the health care field with the goal of LPN or RN. I want to train fairly quickly in something, make a liveable wage and gain hospital experience. So choices? CNA, PCT, Phlebotomist, Cardio Phlebotomist Technician??

First of all, Kudos for using the term "health care" rather than "medical".... LOL. Physicians are the only profession that practice "medicine", but most civilians use that label for everything. There is an enormous amount of variability re: entry level jobs in healthcare. Licensure/certification requirements are determined by each state - so, some states may restrict tasks to only licensed or certified persons while others may permit on-the-job training. You will also need to investigate the situation in your own state as well as the salaries associated with each type of position. BTW, "Cardio Phlebotomist Technician" is a new term for me. Is that a new type of position in your area?
Thanks for your reply.. It is a program at local school. Apparently a CNA who is also trained in EKG's and phlebotomy.
