RN relocating to FL from Northeast

I currently work in CT and this state is super expensive in almost everything and many of us struggle to live in this state, therefore my husband and I are looking to relocate down south and taking Jacksonville, FL into consideration. My husband will most likely have better job opportunities down there. I graduate with my masters degree in education in April of 2015. I currently make $33/hr here in CT, whats the average pay for a nurse down in FL with experience? I have almost 9 years of acute care experience behind me.
We thought about moving to Florida once.....West Palm area....they pay is horrible. In the Boston area as a supervisor I was making over $60.00. They offered me as a manager of an emergency department $27.00 salary. It wasn't that much less expensive. Food and taxes on those items was astronomical ( to profit off tourism of course) Public schools were appalling so we would have had to put our kids in private school....we went out and bought a snow blower.
