Best system for long career aheadRating: (votes: 0) I live in North California and after about 2 years of experience under my belt I am now finally seeing more doors opening for me. I have recently accepted an offer from dignity health and now just received some hopeful e-mails from Kaiser as well. However, although this is such an awesome news to me, I am rather confused as to which path to take. I am 24 years old and want to join the hospital I can grow with and be part of long term as well as having good retirement and pension once I am done. Not having any family in health care and hearing several opinions at work, I need some advice from you guys here. Although Dignity is 15 minutes commute from my house, and Kaiser I will have to move 3 hours away (with possible transfer back to my home town after some time), which opportunity will help me in long term. Also, I am considering completing FNP later on, so Kaiser would be a good system for that? Reading few different posts, I noticed everyone pointing out how difficult it is to get in Kaiser. So I really do not want to leave this opportunity if it is really worth it. But I really need your advice. Kaiser vs Dignity or any other system for long term such as VA? Easy to transfer between Kaiser hospitals (If I want to move back)? Kaiser is located in Santa Clara, any big differences compared to Sacramento? Thank you everyone. |
