LPN vs RN (career advice needed)

Hi everyone,
I have been thinking critically about pursing a career in nursing as I am currently taking PCT classes. I am stuck inbetween making the decision as regards whether or not to enroll for LPN at the same community college or seek admission to RN elsewhere.
My DON at the college and a few other instructors have given their perspectives based on their training and exposure yet I feel the need for other professional opinions on this subject as I do not want to get out of school with little or no job opportunities in the real world.
Also, I just moved to the states and I want to be able to practise when I go back to my country.

If you have the resources to do it, go for the RN, much wider range of job options, wider scope of practice, and higher wages.There's nothing wrong with pursuing your LPN, it just affords you less professional opportunity.
You can do LPN and then bridge to RN to see if you like nursing. But you will just have to take two NCLEX one for PN and one for RN.Some schools require certain hours of experience as LPN before getting into RN.Really... depending on what you want to so. I did LPN and then LPN to RN. It was a long route but at the end, I am a RN.
