which direction would be best to go

hi everyone i know this is totally off the subject but i was wondering if anyone could give me any advice in which direction would be best to go into with an associates in emt-p, i start my classes in october for the actual course right now im taking my pre-reqs but iv heard from many differnt people its better to be employed with a fire department as a firemedic then it would be to be employed with a hospital or private company an then iv heard its better to be employed with a hospital, can anyone help me with this please?
