Thank You note for HR?Rating: (votes: 0) ![]() I'd send a thank you note thanking the HR rep for her time, and saying that you're sorry things didn't work out because you didn't have the experience that the UD was looking for. Ask that the HR rep keep you in mind for any positions that come open that don't require a year experience. Comment:
I would send the thank you note but I wouldn't put any stipulations about future referrals in it.

Never hurts to say thanks.

Definitely send a thank you note.. if the interview went well, the rep will surely remember you for future positions. You'll make an even better impression by sending a thank you note. When I had interviewed with the HR rep, it was an "informational interview" as at the time there were no positions available. I was sure to send her a thank you note and was also sure to send a small thank you card for the HR secretary that was nice to me as I waited for the interview to begin. Can't say how much it helped, but the rep was always wonderfully nice to me as I continued to email her asking about openings... and now, I am employed! =) Any small act of kindness could never be a bad thing.

Send it. It is a rarity to receive a thank you note (made of real paper and written with an ink pen!) and it will definitely be a nice surprise to HR.

yep agreed! if she's as organized as most HR personnel at keeping track of potential employees, she'll make a note in your file too
