Anyone with any knowledge, experience or ideas please share with me! Thanks in advance for your help. There are completely different directions - what are your interests and abilities? Comment:

Let me clarify, Wound care cert would help in home health if it is truly legit. I did Legal Nurse, spent lots of money..yes I learned lots of great things but found their was no lawyer willing to PAY for that knowledge. A few would interview me to pick my brain but no real work and believe me I did try hard and follow every marketing tool they taught me. I need help in is this worth the money. I am 54 and doing RN-MSN right now..so not alot of money but willing to do if worthwhile. Thanks so much for input!

I think if you are interested in wounds and able to get your WOCN certification there will be plenty of work for you. Wounds are a plenty......

BTW there are several outside programs for WOCN including Emory University, Cleveland Clinic/Case, and Ubiversity of Virginia. These are three I looked at when I was considering it for my post master's certification program.

I think it would be helpful only after you are hired for the first time because of it. I have extra certs that have never helped me get a home health job, only a mention one time for the possibility of doing staffing work. But I think it still looks good on a resume because it shows you took the initiative to further your education.
