Well, I can help with #3Hodgkin's= Say it like Haaj-kins. The "Hodg" part should rhyme with Lodge. The rest is up to the nurses out there!

Context seems to help me when I see something strange written in the hand-off report. Here are my guesses MO degeneration - Macular optical degeneration. duodenal operative adhesions. Not the best guesses because I had to make something up for the second word in each abbreviation.

D/O adhesions means "division of adhesions". It's a surgical procedure, whereby adhesions (usually to the bowel) are divided, allowing the bowel to function normally and without pain.

Um... you need to just out right ask the nurse handing over to you if you don't understand something.. not expect us to majically read their minds and do the work for you. Why wouldn't you just ask them?
