Help me save my poor handsRating: (votes: 0) I am currently a nursing student and am looking for a good hand cream. Has anyone found one that they really like and works well. My poor hands are cracking, flaking and red. Any input is appreciated! For years I've been using Neutrogena hand cream Norwegian formula. Using the cream right after each hand washing seems to keep my hands pretty comfortable. It's so thick that you only need a little dollop, and a bottle lasts quite long.

I have psoriasis on my palms and feet. Sometimes it gets pretty bad, specially when I get stressed and it starts cycling to the blister stage. (that comes less and less these days) ANyway, try to find a lotion that is thick and will remain on your hands (somewhat) even after you wash them. There are so many lotions to choose from, VAseline intensive hand cream is good. Right now I use Aveno. ANy lotion with perfumes in it will sting if you have cracks in your hands, so just be aware of this.

I really like using Vaseline Intensive Care, works wonders! Anything with goats milk in it has worked successfully too. I found that switching from the powdered latex gloves to vinyl gloves is a plus. The powder seems to wick the moisture from your hands and dries them out more.

I have eczema on my hands, and work KILLS me. I have used every prescription cream under the sun, nothing works. However, Eucerin CREAM is my miracle in a jar. Get the cream, not the lotion, and don't get generic. I fought with this for years and using the Eucerin daily totally saves my hands. No more cracking and bleeding, even when I put 300 pairs of gloves on and wash my hands 300 times a day. EUCERIN CREAM!!!Kelly

Bath and Body works - "Look Ma, New Hands".. the full size fits perfectly in my pocket and I use it maybe once or twice a night. They also make travel sizes if you dont want the full size(its smaller than a tube of toothpaste). The scent is a light lemony clean scent so you don't choke the patients with the smell. lol

Cream your hands up with Eucerin before you go to bed, then put an old pair of sweat socks on them to sleep in.

I use Bag Balm at home and carry a small tube of Neutrogena's Norwegian Formula at work and school. My hands have been in their best shape since I started with these - even when I get a rash of eczema-hives...

I like the Gold bond cream. At walmart or target you can get a small tube that fits in your pocket in the travel size section. Very inexpensive and works great.
