Anyone work in an allergy/pulmonology office?

I'm starting Xolair soon. My doctor told me that it's only given at very specific times because it's "very time consuming for the nurses." I asked why and she mentioned reconstituting the drug. I'm wondering how a subq shot can be so time consuming, even if you do need to reconstitute it. I'm just wondering if anyone has given it before and can enlighten me on how long it takes and why.
Did you try asking the nurses in the office?Or have you tried looking at the Xolair website:http://www.xolair.com/xolair/index.htmlThere is also a Xolair site with information directed towards health care professionals that may help you understand better. (the link is at the top of the xolair site "health care professionals")

Comment:
