Depression question please help!Rating: (votes: 0) We I hadn't seen her in over a week and she has lost fat again. I saw her wearing shorts and could not believe how skinny she has gotten. it seriously looks gross and this breaking my heart to look at her. I'm worried perhaps it is anorexia although I don't think it is. I'm sure you guys will know more about it that I do. I just don't know what to do about it. Any thoughts? speak to her, let her know is able to trust you. Is she going through any cancer treatments? Comment:
We can't give you medical advice here, per TOS.

You need to let her, and her famly know of your concerns and have her seek medical help asap.....we can't offer medical advice but I can pray for her.

Just my two cents, I have suffered from severe anxiety my whole life and there are times when I just do not eat well and will drop weight pretty quickly. Maybe depression does this to her.Looks like she has a good friend looking out for her.

We can't give medical advice here. And even if we could, we certainly can't do it second hand. But I can encourage you to contact NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) or eating disorder support groups to help you weigh your options and learn how to communicate your concerns to your friend. Whether she is grappling with depression, eating issues or something else entirely, the groups I mentioned offer help for friends and family members who are having a hard time watching someone they care about struggle.BTW, the fact that someone talks about food and recipes is not a reliable indicator of whether or not they have an eating disorder. Neither is condition of teeth and or the presence or absence of breath odor a good way to gauge the possibility of bulimia. An eating disorder website can explain why.Your friend is fortunate to have someone who is so caring in her life.Thread is now closed.
