Some things are not for us to understand. Care for the obese patient as compassionately as you would care for any other and provide as much non-judgmental education as they are receptive to.And it would probably be an excellent idea to avoid personal internet griping about patients while on the clock.

I believe I remember hearing something about people who live in glass house throwing stones. When I was super-sized I ate to fill a void in my life. Some people are addicted to food, others to drugs or alcohol

Fact: Most of the Diseases and/ or conditions that will eventually Kill us are self inflicted. Too much time in the tanning bed, or natural Sun (without proper sunscreen), a sedentary lifestyle, too much stress, illicit drug use, smoking, promiscuity, Lord the list is endless. When sick and infirmed we will all rely on a skilled, empathetic, non-judgemental nurse to care for us. That includes you as well. Yup, put yer stones away, sweetie.
