how much do you make an hour/year?Rating: (votes: 8) CNA/RN/LPN/PA/APN/fulltime/parttime/casual whatever your profession is, just state it and share ![]() This question seems to come up weekly on the forums. Comment:
There are so many variables: whether you are an LPN, RN, APN?, whether you work full-time, part-time, prn?, etc.. Can you narrow it down??

I wasn't going to respond at first... but what the heck. I'm a CNA and make 16.17 dollars and hour !

Wow, I didn't think cna's could make $16.00 an hour. I think around here they make 10-12 tops.

Another major variable that affects someone's pay rate is location. For example, an RN in San Francisco could be earning more than $40 hourly while the RN in rural South Carolina could be earning less than $18 per hour. High cost-of-living locations tend to pay healthcare workers more than the rural and low cost-of-living regions.

There is just to much vaiation secondary to gepraphic location, state labor laws, state reimbursement rates, et. al. staff rn >40/hr.

Hospital LPN in rural GA, 13.15/hr + shift diff. for nights and weekends. It sucks, our hospital hasn't been able to give raises in five years. We are non-profit. But I am just grateful to have a job with all the layoffs.

Louisville, KYWhen I was a CNA 2 years ago, I started out @ $13 an hour - no experience- in a hospital.New Grad RN's (that's me!) start about 22 an hour.
