Varicose veins - Help!! how do you deal with these horrors??Rating: (votes: 0) Any advice on how to treat/prevent (other than support stockings, of course). Does exercise help, or make them worse? Has anyone had the surgical procedure to reduce/remove them? Thanks!! Make it a habit to elevate your legs when you're on rest or on break? VV, they really are horrible. Comment:
I feel your pain. I have one on my shin and beautiful purple spiders behind my knees...i use tanning spray to cover them in the warmer months and yes exercise helps

avoid constipation, be careful when pregnant, DON'T sit for any great length of time, especially if you feet are not flat on the floor.

You're pretty much stuck with them. In the future avoid standing in one place for too long, and when you sit down try and elevate your legs.

Foal sclerotherapy was highlighted in an episode of The Doctors earlier this year: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Qs6iWSGzZE

I've only been working since June and have them too... Not bad but behind my knees, ahhh.... The best thing to do are weight bearing exercises: think leg presses/calf press type machines... Lunges and squats seems helpful.. Move that blood...It just sucks because my dad had them terribly so I'm screwed regardless ha
