Interviewer cried during interview

1 Today I went on an interview and the lady that interviewed starting crying while talking about her clients. I was very moved by her emotions and glad that she truly cares about these clients. I was just a little shocked, and didn't really know what to say. Anyone else cry or either had the interviewer cry during an interview?
I'm sure it was somewhat embarrassing to her. However, the way you reacted - discreet and professional, understanding and compassionate - will probably do a lot to help you get the job.Good luck!

Hmm. IDK. I kinda wonder if she was under incredible stress. Hopefully she didn't cry because you seemed like a nice person and there is nobody else in that place who she can confide in...BTW, LoveJoy, you and I are both "Advocates" of something, aren't we?!

First I thought it was by how many years you had been on this board, but it's not. Hmmm. One of the mods/staff commented somewhere that the idea behind those would be soon revealed.

I had a manager go into Rapid Afib during an interview and pass out........I got the job . I ownder what was going on in her personal life to make her so emotional....you never truely know someone's personal burdens. I owuld ask her if she was ok and wanted to re-schedule.

No....but I would find it unprofessionall...maybe it's just a personal thing...I don't do crying very well.

I probably would have cried with her. I hate to see people cry!
