Healthcare related reads....Rating: (votes: 0) Looking forward to any suggestions, thanks!!!:redpinkhe I recently read Critical Care, which is about a nurse on an oncology floor as a new nurse. http://www.amazon.com/Critical-Care-...9097880&sr=8-5It was meh. Not the greatest writing, and it was similar to the kinds of things you read on AN all the time - my coworkers are mean, my first patient just died, I had the busiest shift EVER, etc etc. After that I read Complications, which is by a surgeon, about surgery. I liked it very much, even though it pertained to medicine more so than nursing. http://www.amazon.com/Complications-...9097930&sr=1-1Now I'm reading Something for the Pain, which is by an ER doc. It's a little dated, but it's a good read. http://www.amazon.com/Something-Pain...9097949&sr=1-1I'm interested to see what others say! I'm a voracious reader, would love some new material Comment:
I can't remember the names of the books, but they are by Echo Heron. They were about her nursing career and were good reads. One book of hers had stories from different nurses.
