MDS training question

I am currently an LVN in Texas, I graduated in 2011 and I am about to start RN school next month. I want to become MDS certified, but not sure if I can as an LVN. Do you have to be an RN before you can go thru training? And where do I find a training course?

Are you talking about Medical Disaster Services? If so, you can apply to your state registry to get on the roster. You don't have to be an RN. Just fill out the application. If you are interested in your State Medical Assistance Team, you should have a local region that you can train with. PM me for more info.
