Senior student- help getting an E.R. position

Hi all, I'm a senior nursing student in an RN/BSN program and graduation is in 7 months

I'm wondering if it's a realistic option for a new grad to get into the E.R. right off the bat. I've been looking at a few hospitals in my area and they all require prior ER experience or "other similar experience". I've tried applying for tech positions to get some experience and a foot in the door with no success in 1.5years. Do you have any recommendations or helpful tips to get into my specialty of choice?
