licensure in non compact stateRating: (votes: 0) You call up the KS BON and ask for an application, or get it online, and give them what they want. It will likely include your having to pay Nursys to report your previous license-- this will cost you about $30. I have licenses in lots of states (I live in a non-Compact state) and some of the things I have been asked for include (not every state has asked for all of these):Fingerprint card by my local State PoliceCORI check at my own expenseCompletion of an online course in sexual and elder abuseCollege transcript at my own expenseChecks from $40 to 300BTW, the state that was the easiest was...Nebraska. I asked how long it would take and they asked me when I needed it. I said, hesitantly, "Three weeks?" and they said, "Sure, no problem," and it was in my mailbox in ten days. California, on the other hand, was more like eight (budget crunch had their BON closed every Friday at that time). Allow plenty of time for this process. Comment:
KS was easier for me to get than WY. Only thing that was a pain with them was getting my name spelled correctly.
