Proper heading on resumeRating: (votes: 0) Your objective is to get the job, and that (literally) goes without saying. If your long-term objective is to get your one year of M/S in and then go to CRNA school or NP school, you would be very foolish indeed to say that. I don't know any hiring manager who would hire you on that basis knowing that the year of effort she budgeted to orient you would be completely wasted. The shorter answer is that there is no set-in-stone, gotta-do-it-this-way resume format. Pull up a couple off the net and see what works best for you. Anything that doesn't belong in an RN's professional resume (the customer service jobs you had in school, the years you spent as a CNA, your au pair stint) can be mentioned in passing or to questions in your interview (well, not the au pair and customer service, LOL). If you have extensive experience in management in some other field, that can go in the cover letter. |
