Why??? Sleep interrupted nocturia post 12hr shift...Rating: (votes: 0) Why can't I just come home and pee 1000mL, sleep 5/6hrs straight and then get up? OP - you're either just making a comment or you're asking for a real reason. If it's the latter - I had the same issues. I attributed it to the fact that now my bladder & sphincter muscles' sensory nerve endings were probably just hypersensitive and resetting themselves to normal function. That and probably some timed hormonal release like cortisol.I'm sure someone out there could give us a real reason.Just be happy for whatever is working and you're not peeing the bed! Comment:
I always stop to pe at work if I have to go. It only takes a second to do and I work a lot more efficiently if I am comfortable. I tend to run around crazy like as disorganized and can't think straight if I have a full bladder.

I can gauge how much/ how often I'll have to pee while day-sleeping on how much ankle edema I have. No kidding. I wake up with skinny ankles, though!

Yes, I was just posting out of frustration. It just seems that my bladder goes to sleep at work. I am always just so crazy busy and have barely any time to sit and chart much less stop and pee. It seems I never have the urge to go until I get home. Which is really weird since I drink three 32oz bottles of Gatoraide while at work!

I had this problem when I worked nights. It's not as bad now that I am on days.

I thought I read somewhere that your kidneys work better when laying down, Really Maybe something to do with that and circadian rhythm?

Why do you say pee instead of urinate?
