Question about scheduling...is it the same for you?

The new job I just got...I am considered full time working in a physicians office. I work 4 days a week (8:30am-5:30pm) with one set day off a week. I also work one weekend a month (8am-12noon). Would I get paid for 36 hours a week or 40?

I am confused
Do you get paid for lunch? 8:30-5:30 x 4 would be 36 hours, so you would get paid for 36 hours. and 40 hours when you work a weekend.

Comment:
I dont think we get paid for lunch.

Comment:
Well then it would be less than 36 hours I guess.

This isn't really a scheduling question, it's more of a paycheck question. If you don't get paid for your lunch break, and it is 30 minutes, then you'd get paid for 34hrs/week during the weeks that you work 4 days, and 38 for the weeks you work a weekend. No, it's not the same for me. I work PRN, so I get paid for however many hours I work in a pay period, less my 30 minute lunch breaks.

Comment:
Full Time does not need to equal 40 hours a week... it's generally desingated for a benefits stand point.. .they're calling you FT, you get benefits based on FT but are working 36 hours/week
