CA RN to AZ RN endorsement: wait for license or just go?

So I submitted my paperwork to the AZ board of nursing to obtain my AZ license, I'm presently licensed in CA. Anyone have any experience with this process, how long it usually takes, etc. I have no unusual issues so there should be no problems, but I know CA is notoriously slow on their end. I really just want to get out of here, I have about 6 months of expenses saved and confident I can snag a gig in AZ. I just feel like it would be easier to get that gig if I already live there. As always, I appreciate the comments!
The AZ board has a separate set of requirements. I was set for a Mayo Clinic assignment..it had to be set back 2 weeks until I could provide a birth certificate..my travel agency was not aware of that specific requirement.As with any new gig.. get ALL of your ducks in a row.
