how many careers have you had?

For those of you who have switched professions and have gone into nursing from something else. How many previous careers and or degrees do you have?
Anyone? Lol

Oh, two of my former jobs could count as careers. One was health care related and the other wasn't. I've worked since I was 16 and have had many more jobs (that probably wouldn't be considered careers) to make ends meet. More of the generation X aged and younger people changed/will change careers several times throughout their working days. It's the new normal.

Nursing will make 2. Almost since I graduated HS I've been doing EMS.

I finally got my nursing degree at the age of 35. Prior to that I had a lot of jobs, waitress, call centre, retail sales, flight attendant and now nursing. I work in the OR now and all those other jobs prepared me somewhat for my new career....

Depends on what you consider a career I guess. I've had a ton of jobs. Not sure if you'd call them careers. But I have a previous BS in animal science and I was working at training and breeding farms. Lots of people want to hire "for experience". Far fewer "for money". I did internships and apprenticeships for about 3 years and struck out on my own. Hate running my own business and at the time lived in a low population area where there weren't many people interested in my discipline of choice. Otherwise I've been a milker at a dairy, hostess, group home DSP, national park ranger, dancer, and retail worker.

at least two prior to nursing. Finally found my tribe!

No other degrees. All of my other positions since I was 16 years old (some may say career some may say job) were health care related in one way or another.
