Can anyone tell me what other career options a LPN has other than a LPN-RN transition?

It seems that you have to be a RN in order to specialize in anything, advance in anything: i.e.- wound care, ICU, emergency, CNA educator, etc. By the way, I'm not knocking the transition. I simply wanted to know if being an LPN is a career dead end
without transitioning to RN. It seems that (in Phila. & it's surrounding areas) LPN's are unwanted

in hospitals and are destined to work LTC's and clinics only. So again, I just want to know what my options may be before I graduate from LPN school. Thank you in advance for your enlightenment....:redpinkhe
