ER interview tomorrowRating: (votes: 0) I had an interview w/the NM a few wks ago that went really well, so she had me do a peer interview that went HORRIBLY. Questions like "Are you emotionally more mature than you used to be?" (I was 18 when I started there - yes, unfortunately moody, but who wasn't at that age?) Things just went downhill from there, the few questions I did ask (what's a typical shift like?) were shot down with one word answers. "Different". Well, no ****, Sherlock, I'm not new to healthcare, I know every day is different, I'm asking you to describe A day, not every day. Afterwards the staff told the NM that they didn't want me, since the questions I asked didn't show a real interest in the job. Granted, I clammed up when things went south, but I was really caught off guard. The NM still wants me, though, so she asked me to come back for a second peer interview, and I agreed. As far as questions that I should be asking the staff, I'm just at a point now where I'll ask whatever they want to hear, since the questions I really wanted answered weren't good enough. So basically, just tell me what I should be saying. And yes, I will be taking this giant chip off my shoulder before I walk in there tomorrow...I'm just being bitter here. |
